Is CampusOS for coaching institutes or schools?
Both. The platform is the same either way — coaching institutes typically lean on batches, quizzes, and leads; schools lean on subject-wise exams and full attendance history. See the Solutions page for how each one fits.
Do we need to install anything?
No. The web dashboard runs in any browser. The mobile app is a single app that students, parents, and teachers each sign into with their own login.
What if we already track everything in spreadsheets?

People & access
How do students and parents log in?
With a password, or a one-time code sent by email or SMS — whichever is easiest for your users. No separate app-store account or extra setup needed on their end.
Can parents track more than one child?
Yes. A guardian account can be linked to multiple students and switch between them from one login, seeing each child’s attendance, results, and fees separately.
Can we control what staff and teachers can see?
Yes — permissions are per role and configurable by your admin, so staff and teacher accounts only see and do what you’ve allowed.

How does fee collection work?
Set up a fee plan per batch (one-time or monthly), generate dues for a period, and record payments — either manually (cash, bank transfer) or online, with automatic advance and overdue reminders.
Can we run more than one branch?
Yes, multi-site is supported — batches, staff, and reports can be scoped per site, while owners see the full picture across every site.
What happens if a student or teacher loses connectivity?
The mobile app falls back to the last-loaded data while offline, and refreshes automatically the moment the connection comes back — built for real mobile networks, not just fast Wi‑Fi.

Is our data shared with other institutes?
No. Each institute’s data is isolated at the database level, not just filtered in the app — one institute can never query another’s data. See the Security page for more detail.
